A few of my thoughts on “Beach of Dreams”
When “Beach of Dreams” was launched in 2021 the idea was to celebrate the Coastline of the United Kingdom.
I am proud that the Community of Greater Abergele has agreed to take part in “The Conwy Network” and celebrate the uniqueness of our very own Pensarn Beach.
Pensarn Beach may not be the “sandiest beach” in North Wales (unlike another beach that I know well, Penmaenmawr). It does however have many other attributes, amongst the most significant is free parking at the Promenade Car Park (courtesy of Abergele Town Council) to facilitate access for one and all.
With any mention of our Coastline, it would be an important omission not to mention the important and vital work undertaken by the volunteers who make up The Royal Lifeboat Institution, a charity funded by donations for ourselves, the general public. There rescue efforts vary from distress calls further out to sea to those in trouble closer to the shore.
