Dear Residents,
From the start of February 2025 onwards there will be some
construction work around the Gorsedd Stones opposite the
children's play park.
A local community group registered as The Abergele Pump track
CIC are preparing the site for a contractor to build two cycle tracks
for the community to use for all age groups.
The majority of the work will take place between April and July in
this year 2025. Clearance work relating to an old fallen tree and
removal of tree stumps will take place in early February. The fallen
tree will be relocated within the wooded area by the pond to
continue as a habitat for small invertebrates etc. There will be some
noise from chainsaws etc but only when necessary.
Safety is important, so the working area's will be cordoned o with
a temporary 6 foot safety fence surrounding the working site and
working corridor. The main contractors who will build the tracks
and land drains, we expect to be on-site in late April and are
expected to complete the project in July/August, some part of the
construction will be dependent on the weather. Land scaping will
be completed in August.
