This year, Remembrance Sunday was marked with commemorative parades and church services across our local area.
In Abergele town centre, Ken Baker, representing the RBL, led the procession along Peel St, up Water St, and into St. Michael's Church where the Standard was presented to Canon John. Canon John delivered a poignant service for those in attendance, including the Scouts, schools, clubs and societies, and individuals alike. This year's service also included readings by Mayor Cllr. Diane Green and Emrys Ap Iwan's Head boy.
Following the service, the Standard Bearer led the procession outside to the Cenotaph, where poppy wreaths were laid to honour those who served and sacrificed for our future.
Beulah Brass played the Last Post, and those in attendance observed the two-minute silence, standing together in gratitude.
Beulah Brass sounded the Reveille, drawing this solemn morning of Remembrance to a close, with renewed thankfulness and appreciation of the sacrifices that were made by those who came before us.
